Having heard bits of the new no-man album which GC has contributed to, and the fact that they have a new project in the works - I figured this would be a great place to discuss what the two have done together - musically speaking that is.

Hi, I'd like to tell more about this but really still I can't...as probably you already know we worked this weekend in Sweden with Tim on final recordings and overdubs for our songs, but still some excellent guest could join lastminute..for sure this will be something else that will impress you as impressed me. It will be another release hopefully for this year, so stay tuned...on this too more news to come soon!

Are we taking guesses? SW would be too obvious wouldn't it? Someone that would impress Giancarlo... Hmmm....

That crossed my mind, but if it were a PT member, Richard might be more likely this year. One of the others from the Burning Shed 'collective' perhaps? Peter Chilvers? Michael Bearpark?

Yep - that'd crossed my mind too. I'm thinking maybe Robert Fripp?

...mmmm we already got some excellent guest we both wanted ...and more will come...maybe you're near someone of them...but far from others! We should have a definitive playlist and news in the next month or so...hopefully mistery will be revealed soon!

So I'm curious then with this new project - who will handle the vocals or will it be a mixture with harmonies? Both have great voices that hit me quite differently so it will be interesting to see how that comes across.

Both have great voices that hit me quite differently so it will be interesting to see how that comes across. I've been wondering how the vocals will be worked out too. There is a lot there to play with from a recording and engineering standpoint. Tim's vocals are normally out in front of the music. Giancarlo's vocals are normally blended in with the music. It will be interesting to see what they come up with.

Sorry to say, but I'm still in a somewhat Idle state you know quite well...but I also had some work on the Tbo collaboration! We spoke about it and release date still remains somewhere near the end of 2008 and early 2009. Next year will see also a new album from Nosound, so we'll have with Tim some final studio sessions on our album in Autumn after No-Man gigs. Don't know what will be impression on listeners, I think the quite present Tim's vocals are still there, probably mixed more with different 'colors' and more 'in music' than his usual, just to try something 'different' without letting off focus of his beautiful voice..but surprises will be many...stay tuned and I hope we'll send some news soon!

I now know at least two of the guests. If Tim let it slip, can I announce it?? *doing a happy dance and imagining the emotional impact this will have on me*
