As you may be aware, there has been some secrecy surrounding what is happening with Nosound. It appears that we are a week away from finding out what it is. I don't know about you, but I am hoping I get to see them again soon - hopefully that is part of the package!
Giancarlo has been working with Tim Bowness (No Man) rather intensely as of late on a completely separate project from Nosound. As I understand it, most (if not all) of the recording for the forthcoming album has been completed. Keep in mind that it takes time to mix, engineer, and master a new work - so it is on the horizon.
I got word that Giancarlo has also been working on a new Nosound album too. He feels that the new music is the best that he has ever written and is very excited about getting that album going. Tenatively it is scheduled to be out in 2009.
In the meantime, the band members still have their day jobs to work. Though Giancarlo is working two major music projects, even he has a 9-5 job. I think the best statement the music community could make is to elevate these guys to the point were they can work on their musical talents without being distracted by a daily grind of a "support job".
So, in the next year there should be two albums of major interest plus (hopefully) some support EPs of extra material.

GE's message to this effect was posted the 18th .. so really hoping for some great news ... I have an idea what it *might* be in which case I'd be really happy - but then it may just be wishful thinking ...

Unfortunately he is bound by to secrecy until everything is in place. Things are still progressing but taking a little longer than he had expected. I know things are very-very-very close to being done. Sorry for the delay, but all the ducks (on the shore) must be in a row... Trust me, he wants to tell you the news as much or more than you want to hear it!

Okay, a bit of news has been released on Tim's website - which needs a little explaining.
There is a posting that a song called Schoolyard Ghosts is going to be on the new Giancarlo Erra/Tim Bowness project album. You are probably aware that No Man has recently released an album called Schoolyard Ghosts.
The deal is that Tim submitted the song for the No Man album even though it was written for the Erra/Bowness project. The song was not selected to be on the No Man album. However, the song title became the title of the album even though it does not appear on it.
So the song, with it's original title and original lyrics and intent, is going to be on the Erra/Bowness album. Tim has a strong personal tie to this song and it is being recorded unadulterated.

Hi Doug, as always quick and great replies....yes there's more than a story on that song, the original demo Tim did with his band was proposed for No-Man. Then after the No-Man changes and direction for the song 'Mixtaped' Tim proposed it for our own album, and it deserves for sure a place, in a slightly different mix and some minor contribution to the original session. Hopefully in the autumn the work on the yet untitled project will finish and an album will be out soon after...so stay tuned Giancarlo

Giancarlo:I thought I would let you fill in the missing parts (lol).
I have been hitting DarkMatter and Tim's site. Proggrl has been hitting the Unofficial PT forum. This song is a good way to get early information out without creating an "out of context" post on the various forms. :-)
