Just curious to know how or where some of you guys first heard about the Nosound project.
I (ofcourse) heard about it on the Porcupine Tree forum.

Hello, By a friend who has everything of Porcupine Tree related material. And because I try to run a website how I try to make clear how prog & symfo bands are related. I was solded when I heard Sol29, very moody, great! Well done. Looking forward to the new releases! Nick from the lovely South of the Netherlands at www.mostlypink.nl

I discovered them via Burning Shed... Had a load of credits and took a chance on them. The sound totally melted me and I became an instant fan! Great stuff, all of it! Thanks Giancarlo!!

through the (now defunct) Camel forum om www.rajaz.co.uk where a certain mr Nedflanders was responsible for singlehandedly getting half the forum to buy Sol29 (and scores of other items we would otherwise not have found out about)!

Hey at least there is an explanation there at Rajaz saying why it's down/defunct. I noticed that the other day. And way to go nedflanders!!

Does this mean I have to toss my vintage Camel vinyl now that they are defunct (lol)?
I was standing outside of the Nokia Theatre waiting to get into a Porcupine Tree show and there were people hanging around talking about "related bands" like Riverside, Tool, and Nosound. That was the first time I had heard of Nosound, but didn't pick-up their CD until sometime later after trying to listen to Tool and then Riverside. When I got Sol29 I was instantly hooked and went back and got all of their other releases (only recently getting a copy of the out of print promo CD) and have been a major fan since.

If I threw away all the albums I own by defunct bands, there'd go over half my collection. Anyway it's only the forum that is defunct (for now).

Giancarlo posted on the Dark Matter mailing list when Sol 29 was first released, and I went to the web site and loved the music. So I ordered everything still in print.

Through the (Unofficial) Porcupine Tree forum. A lot of the people there had been giving this band good reviews so I thought I'd give them a listen. Glad I did

I too saw them mentioned on the PTF and then checked them out on MySpace. I then had to have lightdark and sol29 and I havent looked back. Just hoping I get to see them live soon.
